IBQMI® is taking the WeChat approach to stay connected with its customers and partners

In its quest to stay connected with Asian customers and professionals around the world, IBQMI® has created an official WeChat social media channel. Marcello Raffaele Avagliano, the Managing Director EU/Asia, said that the WeChat social media channel would allow IBQMI® to communicate with its customers and partners in a more interactive and engaging way.

With the official WeChat channel, IBQMI® has a great venue to share news and updates about the company. This is due to the fact that WeChat is the most popular Asian-based social media site, with most of its active users drawn from China and other Asian countries. 

In China, the app has over one billion active users. It ranks as one of the five apps globally to have surpassed the one billion monthly active users. With its instant messaging, social media, and mobile payment capabilities, the app offers users a convenient way to interact, communicate, and transact. 

WeChat was developed by Tencent and released in 2011. Described as the app for everything or the Super App, the platform also provides users with voice messaging, video conferencing, and file sharing features—tools that come in handy for an institution like IBQMI®.

Avagliano also expressed that their official WeChat channel would be a gateway for customers and partners on the Asian continent to ask questions and provide feedback.

In line with the features offered at WeChat, IBQMI® plans to utilize most of them to enhance their service delivery. Among other initiatives, they have built a new payment solution based on the app where students can enroll and pay with WeChat directly. For users to enjoy this service, they must have a verified bank account to allow payment of bills, order of services, and transfer money to other users. 

The digital wallet has become a popular payment platform in Asia and other regions, including Italy, the United Kingdom, and South Africa.
